"Hannah's Lights"
The Mountain Home Rotary Club recently donated 500 safety lights to be worn by students in the first through third grades in the Mountain Home School District. The safety program is called ‘Hannah’s Lights,’ which began in several Arkansas school districts this year in response to a 2012 incident when 7-year-old Hannah Martin was accidentally killed by a school bus during the dark, early morning hours at her bus stop in Garland County. The flashing light alerts drivers of children.   Shown here are Rotarians Bob Heist, Al Herter, Mary James, Rodney Steele, Wes Henderson from the MH Public Schools, Craig Olmstead, Elton Kirby, Sharon Edwards, Fred Edwards, and Jay Chain.
